More About Me

I am a busy bee, always on the go and multitasking. I find that working in an environment that is fast-paced or requires constant adaptation keeps my attention and focus. I love conquering challenges!

Passionate

I am passionate about healing generational trauma through cooking and food. As a southern Black person, the foods that I prepare and my relationship to the land and plant medicine are all quite sacred. I honor myself and my lineage with what I consume, and it has become a daily commitment for me.

Supportive

Both the history and current lived experiences of Black women and girls create unique challenges to reclaiming our mental, physical, spiritual health. And so, I am invested and committed in reshaping community to ensure we are providing each other with the support and resources to self-determine our wellbeing. Black folks asking for help is no easy feat, especially for Black women who are expected to carry so much for so little in return. I want to dedicate my life to being a part of the mission to aid Black women and girls in prioritizing their mental and emotional wellbeing through creating a safe space of grace, empathy, and community care for one another.

Balanced

Self-care for me looks like not being afraid to say "No." Being socialized as a Black woman to do everything for others before taking care of myself first has left me moving through life from a half-empty cup for years. Now, I try to say "No" as often as I can, and instead say "Yes" to my own needs and wants.
