Hey, I'm Montina.
If you’ve experienced trauma or deeply rooted family conflict, you may be questioning whether you can ever heal and recover from it. You might feel like you deserved to be in all of those toxic relationships or that you didn’t need emotional support as a child. You may even wonder if anyone is able to help you. I’m so glad you’re here. As a Black woman, I know it takes a huge amount of courage to even consider being emotionally vulnerable on purpose. Especially with a therapist.
As the founder of Myers-Galloway Counseling, I wanted to create a safe and welcoming space for Black women to improve their mental health, sense of self, and to help them lead healthy and happy lives. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, and an avid supporter of all things self development. I have one main goal in mind: to enrich the lives of Black women. Sometimes we get so caught up in the day-to-day that we forget about our own health and happiness. Between the demands of work and the expectation to be a modern day superwoman our own needs and desires can suffer. Challenges with the relationships closest to us can result in feelings of anxiety, sadness, and frustration.
If you are ready to develop a plan that will empower you to live the life you deserve, contact me at Myers-Galloway Counseling in Charlotte, NC by calling (704) 750-1889 or click HERE to book a free 15 minute consultation.
More About Me
Passionate:
I am especially passionate about ending the cycle of parentification and adultification, where young Black girls are tasked with the overwhelming responsibility of being caregivers when they themselves are still children.
Supportive:
I support women by teaching them how to love themselves and take charge of their professional and personal relationships.
Community focused:
In 2020, I created Invested Insights; a support community for Black women who are the first in their generation to work in corporate America. This safe space is dedicated to uplifting women and removing the barriers in their careers.
Balanced:
When I’m not busy working with clients or the community, I’m either looking for creative recipes or blasting gospel music in my car.
